1. Does it backup everything? Yes. It backs up the SQL database, plugins, files, themes, scripts, and everything else in the WordPress database and directories.
2. Do I need to install WordPress on the destination server before importing? No. BackupBuddy’s importer script, importbuddy.php, handles restoring you WordPress installation, files, database, and all settings. It also handles migrating the URL and other settings if you changed hosts.
3. Does BackupBuddy do incremental backups? This feature is in the works for an upcoming version of BackupBuddy.
4. Does it take care of all the path changes? Yes. It handles changing the URL, file paths, permalinks, etc.
5. Is there a size limit? There is no set limit. However server configurations influence the ability of BackupBuddy to backup large sites (such as script timeout, memory, etc. We are constantly improving the script to handle larger and larger sites. The better the hosting environment, the better the script performance in handling extremely large sites. We are working on implementing the ability to backup sites of any size.

7. Any server requirements? PHP 5.2 with command line ZIP or the ZipArchive class is recommended for optimum speed though not required. However BackupBuddy automatically falls back to slower, yet still functional, methods on systems with older versions using the built in automatic compatibility mode. We are continuously working on improving the backend to be more robust toward older PHP versions and less favorable environments.
